More LOTR cards out!

Ullo! I didn't realize it, but 2 more LOTR cards I drew from last year are available (from The Watcher in the Water pack) :) The first, the Grave Cairn, was the very first image I ever drew for Fantasy Flight games. I actually always preferred the rough underneath, heh.

This image was very last minute (I was about to fly back to ye olde England) and so not a fave of mine, but whacha gonna do.

 

I am playing through Diablo 3, female monk class :) Excellent boss fights, love to loot, just wondering what class to play on my second play through...

Cave drinks

Ullo! Sorry for the lack of updates, have been freelancing. These pics here are just me messing around drawing in Flash, trying to work with vectors. Underneath is the rough, and another play with Flash.

The weary traveler stops a a nearby cave for a drink, unaware at how potent and deadly the drinks can be to humans...

 

Other than that, I am patiently waiting to play Diablo 3, what with the servers down. This is sooo frustrating!! My monk is waiting! I'm truds#1313 if anyone would like to (hopefully one day!) play ;D

Oh and The Avengers was brilliant!

Fez sketch and some roughs for LOTR

Hiya! In honour of the release of Fez (which I have excitedly kept my eyes on for years now!), I did a 15 minute sketch of the cute little Gomez :)



And in case anyone was interested in seeing the initial roughs for some of the LOTR cards I did, here's a side by side comparison. As you can see, the rough just gives the art director the jist of it all (lighting, composition).




This rough I drew with a tablet (I was contracting at the time and my Cintiq was at work). My tablet skills are extremely rusty now ;)


Am right near the end of Mass Effect 3, so I'm told! Good good....cos it's Fez time!

Halo 1 remake art

Ullo! Am slowly getting the chance to upload NDA work from last year! Here are a few of the pics I got to do for the Halo 1 remake. They were used during the animatic sequences found throughout the game :) All had to be done pretty quick.







I finished Skyrim at last (though it's never truly finished...). Moved onto Mass Effect 3 - Garrus will always be on my team, heh. And did some Journey in the meantime - how lovely is that game? Hands down my fave of the year so far :)

Happy new year all! Yes it's the end of January, but I've been busy (with Skyrim), ahem! Actually I've had pneumonia the past few weeks. BUT ANYWAY! I felt like doing a pic this evening, so here it is, a quick 2 and a half hour or so thing.

The Summoning Flame

Ullo! Not updated in ages, terrible! I've been kept busy at my new job and freelance, but I promise more updates in the new year. This is the summoning flame, a spell to wake creatures of the forest :)


As for games,I've been playing near enough everything! All except the mighty Skyrim, which I have reserved January for :P

Batman, Arkham City is a lot of fun :D I want to do every side quest, is painful to ignore them! Then Uncharted 3 next week!!

The cat in the tree

Evening image. A friend of mine was getting 2 cats tonight, which made me think of cats, which made me think of Superman the Movie where Superman lifts a cat down from a tree, which made me think of superheroes, which made me think of super cats, which led to a monster cat....which led to this ;)



Started on Arkham City! Not very far in - am already hooked on doing side quests. Will progress no further till I do them all - precisely why I can never play World of Warcraft!

Final Fantasy IX!

Ullo! Some Final Fantasy IX artwork for a possible fanzine (plus I haven't drawn fanart in aaaages!). I remember this game coming out whilst I was working at Electronics Boutique, so was able to get the game *gasp* a day early! Steiner was by far my favourite, and I loved how there was a clanking sound with every step he took, his armour rattling and jangling. Vivi is not impressed.



I've started playing Space Marine - love the run animation. I can;t help but find them cute, with those stubby legs and rounded armour :D And all the Orks are Cockney, which makes me laugh, as they sound like my mates back home!

Windy!

Greetings! It's been awhile, but much has been a-happening! The seasons are changing here in Vancouver - autumn approaches, the leaves change colour, and then they blow around everywhere. The fluff below is not amused.



I am now working at East Side Games in Gastown, a social gaming company :) It's a lot of fun, am highly enjoying it there so far!
Gears of War 3 came and went (oh how I love Horde mode!), Shadow of the Colossus HD is getting a good play, and we prepare for the onslaught of games coming this way!
