Tentacle monsters

Ullo!
No, there's nothing pervy here ;) Just your average tentacle monsters. I imagine these things attach to the upper body and just spread, turning the body into tentacles.

Noice! So, wishing you all a merry christmas and a 'appy new year! I shall be back in London enjoying family, friends and mulled wine :)

Merry christmas!

Merry christmas all (yeah it's a bit early)! This is the card I handed out to my fellow Crytekkers :)

Have some mulled wine/gluhwein/glogg!

Pet Bot

Ullo!
This here is K Naut's pet bot. It's used for scanning environments, and accessing areas that K Naut sometimes cannot reach. I'm thinking it was made from scrap pieces K Naut found on his travels to different planets, so looks a little cobbled together.

I'm playing through Dragon Age: Origins at the moment; I'm a male elf, and I plan on sleeping with everyone ;D It's not bad, but really it's Mass Effect 2 I want!

Sunday drawing

Ullo!
Just a Sunday sketch monster :)

Am playing through Killzone 2 at the moment - I really wish I was playing as the bad guys! The human cast are quite unlikable (other than your character's wink in the mirror at the beginning).
Bah.

K - NAUT

Ullo!
I'm working on a little side project, which I'd like to finish as an animatic. 'Tis the tale of the K-naut! Initially, I want him to look like a little space man:

But in a reveal, is actually a koala inside:

He's lost a bit of weight to get in that suit ;) And finally a quick profile:

So hopefully I shall next storyboard a little sequence, and then make an animatic of it. And maybe I'll put up some of the sketches for this soon too :)

Forest walk

Ullo!

Another quick environment piece: the 2 last wanderers, following the path that many others have walked before them, in search of other people.

I just finished playing Uncharted 2, and absolutely loved it! I almost feel that the main character of the game was the environment. There was always something unexpected happening, whether it was a ledge collapsing under your feet, or a building falling down! And am extremely happy Nathan got with the *right* girl at the end :D Had been slightly worried when they started releasing early info..
I played some multiplayer for it as well, (first time ever on a console for me), and I was actually WINNING matches! The Crytek multiplayer matches have obviously honed my skills ;D

Cheers!

Landscape

Ullo!

Felt like doing an environment piece! Has been awhile doing a sole landscape (when not inside a storyboard), so here it is. Am a little rusty, hopefully shall do some more and get better!

A man and his fluff on an EPIC journey to a hut!! Speaking of fluffs, our new kittens are doing well, though so flippin hyper. Have had no sleep. Am so tired. They're great though :)

New fluffs

Ullo!
An exciting weekend! We have 2 new additions to the apartment, Curry and Reis! Both longhair kittens, and both pretty crazy O_O I did a pic of Curry late last night, seen here:

And a real life photo of 'em both here:

I'll be putting up a new Red Snow picture soon, waiting for the website to update first :)

Rock creatures

Ullo!
Some rock creature for Multivaders! Lotsa fun :)

MUST see Up (or Oben as it's called here in Germany) this weekend! There's also The Time Traveller's Wife out - was a good book, would like to see how faithful it is. And also will start playing Resistance, in my continuing effort to play the back catalogue of PS3 exclusive games!

Cheers!

Creatures

Hullo! Take a gander at some creature concepts for my friend's game, Multivaders.

And the armoured alien (kept more in the simpler style of the game than the above pics):

Finished with Uncharted and onto Heavenly Sword. Amazing cutscenes, but the gameplay is very so so at the moment. And the script and characters are downright bizzare at times. It just feels so awkward... :s I hear it gets better though!

Beowulf and Grendal

Heya!

My new pic is for Red Snow Studio, where we all had to draw an image based on Beowulf and Grendal. I decided to take quite a different approach;

Beowulf is part of a group of exploring astronauts, who land on a planet inhabited by Grendal. Each night Grendal sneaks out and abducts an astronaut, who he takes back to his cave and eats. One night Beowulf attacks him, severely hurting Grendal. Grendal retreats, and Beowulf follows after him. Climbing down into the cave, Beowulf points his torch at Grendal. This is his weakness!

Cliffhanger! ;D Here's the final:

With the line and sketch:

Just got a PS3 at long last! Have been playing though Uncharted, which is ALOT of fun :) Refreshing to have a female character who isn't annoying!

Back from Australia!

Hullo!

Sorry for the delay in updates, I've been in Australia the past few weeks :) It was 'winter' over there, and I loved every second of it!
Updates are a dinosaur! I'm thinking of doing an animatic of a koala versus a dinosaur, but we shall see...I've also been doing a few concepts for a game called Multivaders, the demo of which should be out next week (hopefully I can post some concepts soon!). So, here was the original dinosaur sketch:

Then the coloured and messed around with version:

I do have the full coloured version if anyone would like to see :)
And 2 holiday snaps from Australia! The second is on the southern Great Ocean Road, at the 12 Apostles (though is more like 7 now).

More updates soon! :)

Robots!

Ullo!

Robots around the size of a cat, that like to have a good wander around :)

I would like to re-read all the Harry Potter books, but most of my books are at home in England! Gahh!!

Running with a scientist

Ullo!

New pics! First are some thumbnail running cycles of the 2 monsters I did in my last post:

I love studying running cycles, though could never be an animator :) And next is the wary scientist. He's got to study something he realllly doesn't want to get up close with:

I saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince last night (was wearing my Slytherin scarf despite the heat :D). I really enjoyed the film, though as always, wished there was more Snape screen time ;) Gets me in the mood for some fanart...

Running monsters

Look at 'em run!

Thinking of buying the 12 inch Cintiq...I use the big one at work, but am totally spoilt by it, and need one at home :) Decisions!!

Current games

Hey all!

New art coming soon, just been very busy at work. And ummmm playing Bionic Commando. Gorgeous game, lots of fun swinging around, and a brilliant soundtrack! All totally ruined by a ridiculous plot and bad characterisation. The main guy is soooooo angry all the time, he ruins what is actually a fun game! I don't like playing as him. Which is why I'm gonna go back to the good old days and get Bionic Commando Rearmed this weekend :D (The soundtrack to this game is what I listen to in the gym!)

Inbetween playing this has been Puzzle Quest Galactrix on the DS. Another game that had pretty negative reviews, but which has turned out to be suprisingly fun. Sure the leapgate stuff is a drag, but I went in with such low expectations, and was pleasantly surprised.

And finally I shall try and finish Crackdown (or Crapdown as my sister calls it). I think as a spectator, that game must be infuriating to watch, as I leap around from building to building, then miss and fall, then keep jumping etc. It's just so crazy though, am having a lot of fun with it :)

Fluffy

Ullo! I'm back from a long weekend home in London, where it was boiling. Hot here in Frankfurt also, yet I still managed to get covered in mud on my legs whilst cycling. Guh! This here is a fluffy lizard creature investigating its food bowl:

I was inspired to draw this after spending a weekend with my fluffy brother, Raziel:

Sludge man

Ullo!

Just a quick drawing of a man turning into ooze. Busy with work, doubt I'll ever finish, but was a nice warm up drawing. Looks like something out of Resident Evil ;)

Am off home to London for the weekend, catch ya next week!

Fight!

Fight fight fight!
Part of a board I've been doing, between a sludge monster, and a man and his cat ;)

It's more like running than fighting...

1 hour monster the second

Yep! Here's my second attempt at a 1 hour monster. Getting faster methinks!

1 hour monster

The 1 hour monster! The latest issue of Imagine FX has a great activity, dividing an hour with thumbnails, blocking it out, and putting in details (if you have the time). I'm trying to speed up my drawing time, so this is a great way to practice, and a lot of fun :)

If I get time, I will work on this more, and with my Cintiq at work (these were done at home on my old tablet).

First post

Hi all!
It's my first post! Some concepts of one of my fave passions, motorbikes. They're based off of a KTM model.

And a flat version of them all together:

Cheers!
